With over 24 years’ experience in the Scottish Fire Service of which 15 were at Watch Manager level and 2 years as a Temporary Group Manager whilst working within the Operations Planning department where I was responsible for the planning of all multi agency exercises and large-scale events within the City of Edinburgh.

Specializing in Fire Safety for eight years in the Scottish Fire Service as a Fire Safety Enforcement Officer auditing commercial premises, consulting on building plans, fire engineered solutions and delivering fire safety advice to business and individuals.

Key projects that I was the lead Fire Safety Officer for:

• Fire Safety Co-ordinator for the 2014 Commonwealth Games Diving Event held at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh.

• The Edinburgh International Festival and Fringe.

• Five years as the Fire Safety Co-ordinator for the Bethany annual temporary sleepover facilities for homeless people.
